Andrew is a graduate of Heritage
Institute in Falls Church, VA. While at Heritage he gained an
array of skills in multiple modalities including Swedish, Deep
Tissue, Hot Stone, Sports and Trigger Point techniques. As a
part of his education, he worked with M.S. patients at the annual
Multiple Sclerosis
Walk/Run. Andrew gained additional experience through a
comprehensive internship with a local Chiropractor in Northern
Virginia. His main goal is a client-first approach that
results in a healing and relaxing experience.

Brenda, CMT
Brenda is nationally certified and
licensed by the Virginia Board of Nursing. She has studied
massage in Heidelberg, Germany (while on Active Duty with the United
States Army) as well as the Baltimore School of Massage, and is
a Graduate of Greater Washington Massage Therapy Institute in
Virginia. She has 17 years experience in Massage Therapy and
is trained in Swedish, Deep Muscle Therapy, Sports Massage,
Preganancy, Myofascial Release, Hot Stone Therapy, Craniosacrial and
Reflexology, as well as Infant massage. She teaches a course
in Mindfulness Meditation and occasionally a weekend seminar,
"Learn Massage in a Weekend." Brenda is a writer and is
currently writing her Memoir, "Don't Ever Tell."

Crystal,
CMT
A graduate of the nationally recognized
Potomac Massage Training Institute in Washington, DC, Crystal is a
Virginia State Certified (Licensed) Massage Therapist. In
addition to being a licensed massage therapist in Virginia, Crystal
is a professional member of the American Massage Therapy Association
and is trained in the therapeutic benefits of Swedish, Deep Tissue
and Chair massage. Crystal promotes the delivery of the
"client-centered" approach to her bodywork. She is recognized
for her ability to work with sensitivity, compassion and
skill.

Cynthia, LCSW-C,
CMT
A graduate of the Potomac Massage
Training Institute, Cynthia is trained in Swedish, Deep Tissue and
Trigger Point massage. She has an ongoing interest in energy
work and has training in Reiki and various forms of Indian and
Tibetan energy and breath work. Cynthia has been doing massage
for seven years. She is also a clinical social worker with 24
years of helping adults and children cope with depression, stress
and process traumatic experiences. Her background enables her
to create a supportive environment to facilitate holistic
healing. She believes the body and mind is united, reflecting
the integration of all life's experiences. Cynthia is
committed to tailoring sessions to address your specific
needs. She believes her best work occurs when there is a
collaborative process where it is essential for the client to
express his/her needs, hopes and disappointments. Through this
honest dialogue, she can be specifically responsive to the
client. Cynthia has been affiliated with Alexandria Massage
Therapy since October 1999.

Herbert,
CMT
Herbert “Suliy” Wamey is a 2005 graduate of The
Heritage Institute in Falls Church, VA and nationally certified and
licensed by the VA Board of Nursing. He is trained in Swedish,
Deep Tissue, Sports, Trigger Point and Pregnancy massage and brings
passion to his trade and compassion to those he works on. A favorite word in his
vocabulary – mellow – describes who he is and just where he hopes
you will be at the end of your session.

Kim, CMT
Kim is nationally certified and
licensed with the Virginia Board of Nursing. She has 17 years in practice. Kim has
studied at The Florida Institute of Massage Therapy / Florida
College of Natural Health, The Aveda Institute, The Kripalu
Center, and The Esalen Institute. Her experience includes Swedish massage,
Myofascial Release, Reiki energy work, Acupressure, Esalen
massage, Aromatherapy, Lymphatic Drainage, Cancer patients,
Medical massage, some Deep Tissue work, and connective tissue /
structural work. Kim believes
in a "client- centered" approach, using various techniques,
relulting in a relaxing and healing experience. Sessions
usually include what you can do... between massages...to alleviate
your own stress and / or discomfort.

Maggie, CMT
A native Virginian, Maggie attended
Northern Virginia Community College for a Physical Therapy Assistant
degree and worked as a PT Assistant for 20 years in Virginia and
Maryland. In 2001 she changed careers by attending
Virginia School of Technology (campus branch now closed) and 15
months of night school later she became a Nationally Certified
Massage Therapist. She has been continuing her education in
chair massage, muscle release techniques and working toward
specializing in myofascial release. Maggie's massage style is
to incorporate different techniques to achieve the client's goals -
she has a special fondness for Pregnancy massage. In her spare
time she enjoys gardening, craft projects, flower arranging (both
real and artificial), home decorating and being at any beach
whenever possible.
