Kristy
Kristy Huettner is a graduate of the National Massage Therapy Institute (NMTI) in Falls Church,
Virginia. There she was instructed by Viktor Bocharnikov, the developer of the MATT technique of
assessment and therapy. Although she has studied a variety of modalities, her practice centers on
Swedish and Deep Tissue massage with special focus on Trigger Points, Acupressure and stretching.
Her own experiences with pain have taught her to approach healing on several levels. Kristy assesses
each client's needs and blends a variety of techniques to create a session as unique as they are.
Besides relieving discomfort, she believes massage is just as important for relaxation, lowering stress
levels and maintaining good health (to hopefully prevent any discomfort in the first place). She says,
as a therapist, she benefits from the rejuvenating effects of massage even as the "giver".
*Works evenings and Sundays
